With this, CORTIS now has its second track to reach 200 million streams. This follows another record set by “GO!”-another track from the same album-which reached 200 million streams on the 26th of last month, approximately nine months after its release. Notably, “GO!” reached 200 million streams faster than any other song by a K-pop boy group that debuted within the last five years, and “FaSHioN” followed suit, once again proving CORTIS‘s global competitiveness in the music industry.
“FaSHioN” is a track the members created themselves, centered on the theme of fashion?a subject they’ve long been interested in. Witty lyrics that reflect their personalities-such as “My tee, 5 bucks; my pants, 10,000 won”-combined with a heavy trap sound rooted in Southern hip-hop to create a highly addictive track. Above all, it is a track that truly shines on stage, consistently drawing massive sing-alongs from audiences at every domestic and international performance.
Their album performance also continues to rise. Their second mini-album, “GREENGREEN,” released last May, ranked No. 126 on the Billboard 200-the main album chart-in the latest chart (dated August 1) announced by the U.S. music publication Billboard on the 28th (local time). Since debuting at No. 3 on the chart dated May 23, the album has remained on the chart for 11 consecutive weeks, setting a new record for the longest chart run among K-pop boy groups that debuted within the last five years.
Their presence was also evident on sub-charts. “GREENGREEN” ranked No. 2 on Top Album Sales and No. 9 on World Albums, while their title track “RedRed” reached No. 92 on the Global 200 and No. 50 on Global Excl. U.S., marking its 13th consecutive week on both charts. Building on these achievements, CORTIS climbed seven spots from the previous week to rank 75th on the Artist 100.
CORTIS is set to perform on the T-Mobile stage at the major U.S. music festival Lollapalooza Chicago on August 1 (local time). CORTIS is the only K-pop boy group invited to perform on this stage this year.
